गुजरात विश्वविद्यालय को लेकर की गई टिप्पणी के खिलाफ दायर मानहानि याचिका मामले में आम आदमी पार्टी से सांसद संजय सिंह को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से फिलहाल राहत मिली है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गुजरात की अदालत से बाहर केस ट्रांसफर किए जाने की मांग वाली याचिका का निस्तारण किया है.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने चार हफ्ते में संजय सिंह को अपनी मांग गुजरात हाईकोर्ट के सामने रखने को कहा है. फिलहाल सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने निचली अदालत के आदेश पर चार हफ्ते तक के लिए लगाई अंतरिम रोक लगा दी है. संजय सिंह ने प्रधानमंत्री को लेकर टिप्पणी की थी, जिसके खिलाफ गुजरात विश्वविद्यालय ने उनके खिलाफ आपराधिक मानहानि का मुकदमा दर्ज कराया था, जिसके बाद निचली अदालत ने समन जारी कर पेश होने का आदेश दिया था.इस मामले में दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल को भी निचली अदालत से समन जारी हुआ था.
