बागपत। बागपत के बडौत कस्बे में आज मंगलवार को जैन निर्वाण महोत्सव के दौरान लकड़ी की सीढ़ियां टूटने से बड़ा हादसा हो गया। हादसे में करीब 100 श्रद्धालुगण घायल हुए हैं। जबकि सात श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई है। कुछ श्रद्धालुओं की हालत चिंताजनक बताई जा रही है। हादसा आज सुबह हुआ।
बड़ौत के श्री दिगंबर जैन डिग्री कॉलेज में इन दिनों जैन निर्वाण महोत्सव कार्यक्रम का आयोजन हो रहा है। जैन निर्वाण महोत्सव के लिए करीब 65 फीट ऊंचा मंच बनाया गया है। आज मंगलवार को बड़ौत में आयोजित भगवान आदिनाथ के निर्वाण लड्डू पर्व मनाया जा रहा था।
सुबह से ही भगवान आदिनाथ के निर्वाण लड्डू पर्व के मौके पर श्री दिगंबर जैन डिग्री कॉलेज के मैदान पर जैन समाज के लोगों की भारी भीड़ जुटी हुई थी। मान स्तंभ पर काफी संख्या में लोग चढ़ गए। इस दौरान सीढ़ियों पर लोगों का भार अधिक होने पर वो टूट गई। जिससे मंच भी टूटकर नीचे गिर गया। मंच टूटकर नीचे गिरने से उसके नीचे करीब 100 से अधिक श्रद्धालुगण दब गए। मंच टूटने से मौके पर भगदड़ मच गई। मंच के नीचे दबकर सात श्रद्धालुओं की मौत हो गई।
